Directorate of Government Building Management and Research

One of the directorates in the building sector of the Public Property Management Authority is the Directorate of Government Buildings Management and Research. The work carried out by the authority since its establishment is as follows.
The directorate is working to manage more than 6000 government buildings in the city administration by organizing and maintaining their ownership information.
It has identified government buildings that need renovation and maintenance and renovated 242 /two hundred forty two/ and has been able to repair 2016 /two thousand sixteen/.
The work of preparing internal organization standards for government buildings used for office use for users; ensuring fair distribution of buildings constructed for offices to institutions; conducting periodic building aging reductions; studying current rental rates to save the city administration's resources from waste and providing accessible services to users has been widely carried out.
 Government Buildings Census:
The Directorate has been able to conduct a census of many government buildings and 231/ two hundred and thirty-one/ government institution buildings are currently being rented and providing services.
The city administration spends 1.413,636,757.25 /one billion four hundred thirteen million six hundred thirty-six thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven birr and twenty-five birr annually for office rent.
For this purpose, the city administration is currently studying the current rental price and is working on the rental rate of government offices that are being rented and providing services.
